The vet nurse I spoke to was very helpful in deciding whether the cat needed to be seen urgently or could wait till the afternoon (and would have revised this if he got worse). I found the vet we saw very reassuring. She was able to work well with my timid cat, and my cat was nowhere near as freaked out by the experience as I expected. The vet clearly explained the two options for management and why she thought one more suitable, and I chose the option I was most comfortable with for my cats age and stage.”
